Q. 'Friends' Membership : What is in it for me?
A. Please see the 'How to Join' - 'Benefits' page.

Q. Is The Friends of English Bowling part of Bowls England?
A. No - it is a separate entity, but naturally works in close liaison with Bowls England.

Q. Is The Friends of English Bowling run by Members of Bowls England Committee?
A. There is a mixture of non-Bowls England Committee Members and some Bowls England Committee Members.

Q. How do I get on the The Friends of English Bowling Committee?
A. As per the 'Friends' Constitution, Members may submit a nomination with a proposer & seconder and attend the AGM.

Q. How do I arrange a fixture with The Friends of English Bowling at my club?
A. Apply to the Match Secretary who will forward your request to the 'Friends' Committee for consideration.

Q. How can I get a game in a Friends of English Bowling match?
A. Provided you are a Member, you will receive nomination forms from the Match Secretary, requesting your availability for matches in the programme.

Q. How can I join The Friends of English Bowling?
A. Contact the Membership Secretary or any other Committee Member who will direct your request to the appropriate source.

Q. Do I get a lapel badge?
A. Yes, on joining fee being submitted.

Q. Can I buy a lapel badge without being a Member?
A. No, sorry.

Q. I'm not wealthy, can I help The Friends of English Bowling in other ways?
A. Please submit any suggestions to a Committee Member for discussion in committee.

Q. Do you offer a family membership?
A. No, not at this moment in time.

Q. Do you offer a Club Membership?
A. We hope that as the Association progresses, Clubs will take advantage of this way to support our Sport. Any Club that feels they could assist us - please contact the Membership Secretary John Austin at

Q. How do I keep abreast of what is happening in The Friends of English Bowling?
A. A Quarterly Newsletter is issued, detailing all relevant information.
